Kiska and Rebbi-expecting??!!
We are very hopeful that Rebbi will be a papa after our first joint venture in long distance artificial insemination with Russ and Linda Hansen of Lokasteinn Icelandics' Kiska. Of course nature would not cooperate when the 2 dogs were in the same area. We had to go high tech.
According to the local reproductive expert in Madison---Dr Jesse Sondel at Spring Harbor Veterinary Clinic--Rebbi is quite the stud....literally. "I'm not familiar with this breed but I have never seen so many active, healthy swimmers in a specimen!" We had the easy part though. Kudos to Russ and Linda who made numerous trips to the Vet College at Cornell to make this happen. We're hoping for Valentine babies!
